Bringing Oscar Health’s next chapter to life

At Investor Day, we introduced Oscar Health as our new parent company and outlined a long-term strategy built around giving people more power over their healthcare. That strategy comes to life through two separate businesses: Oscar Insurance, which designs health plans around people’s lives, and Lucie Health Marketplace, which is building a simpler way to shop for healthcare.

To capture that next chapter in a more human way, we invited visual artist Shawna X to create a mural for our New York office.

Shawna began by exploring what health looks like beyond the healthcare system. The mural follows people through everyday moments like walking a dog, spending time with family, stretching together or simply reaching toward someone else.

“Health is not just your physical health, it’s also your mental health, your health with your people around you, your connection to others,” Shawna said. “I think community is also healthcare. So that is something I was trying to reflect in this piece of work.”

The result reflects the idea at the center of Oscar Health’s next chapter: healthcare should support people not only when they need care, but throughout their daily lives.

“It’s about just living your daily life, truly,” Shawna said. “That’s what health is.”
